In this class, I learned to calculate elasticity and steady-state heat transfer for both truss-type and planar elements as well as how to predict stress, strain, heat flux, and temperature in 1D and 2D systems.

In addition to the computational work that I can do by hand, I am also now proficient in ABAQUS, which allows me to perform more complex analyses on elements and find the corresponding computational values of those that I can calculate by hand. Examples of my work by hand as well as example lab reports can be seen below.
